HOLIDAY SHOPPING GETAWAY TO PARIS!   

This is a quick and luxurious getaway to Paris during the holiday season! The department stores will be dressed in their finest with the most elaborate puppet shows!  There will be a grey chill in the air—but you’ll be treated to tea or a decadent hot chocolate and pastry to warm you up! 

 It’s a full three nights in a 5-star Paris palace hotel.  Be pampered on the club level with your own private lounge and concierge staff.   Food & beverage service and evening cocktails are included!  The trip includes a welcome lunch with champagne at one of the most beloved gourmet food houses in Paris! 

You’ll get discount coupons to the grand department stores and we can shop the luxury boutiques, the grocery stores, the flea markets---whatever suits your fancy and taste!  Those who prefer less shopping can relax in museums, a spa,  or cafés! 

You will have a bilingual personal concierge (me!) accompany you every step of the way to take the stress, worry, and uncertainty out of your jet set getaway! 

 

 

DAY ONE

You depart in the late afternoon from your own US gateway to Paris.   This is a travel evening and you will overnight on the plane.  Once in Paris, you will easily find the nonstop bus that takes you directly to the 5-star Intercontinental Le Grand Hotel!  

DAY TWO

You arrive at Paris in the morning and we will all meet at le Grand  Hotel.  We’ll check in at the private concierge desk upstairs in our lounge.   We’ll then freshen up and explore this lovely part of the tony Right Bank.  We’ll head over to Fauchon for a relaxing lunch with champagne  (or wine, if you prefer!)   We can shop the foodie boutiques here.   You’ll find Fauchon, Hédiard and there are small chocolate shops in the square here at Place de la Madeleine.   We can walk up and down rue Faubourg St. Honoré with its boutiques and/or the Grand department stores.    I suggest we eat at the club tonight with an early bedtime.

DAYS THREE & FOUR

After a lovely breakfast at the hotel, we will shop till we drop!   For those of you who don’t want to shop (!) there are plenty of other indoor Parisian delights such as museums, spas, concerts, restaurants, galleries and classes to enjoy!    Shopping areas include the flea markets (for small antiques), Avenue Montaigne with its designer boutiques, a myriad of specialty chocolate shops and perfume houses, the Faubourg (see above), the Grand Department stores WILL be open this weekend,  the grocery stores, and souvenir shops. As you can see, there are things for all budgets!    We will stop for a decadent hot chocolate and pastry at either Ladurée or Angelina’s when we need a break!   Lunch and dinner will be decided according to your wishes!  

DAY FIVE

Alas we must depart today!  After breakfast, we will take the bus back to the Paris Charles de Gaulle airport.   I will help you with the French tax rebate forms at the airport. I can help find you the best itinerary and connections as you journey home!
